Marie has been practicing law since 2011, after graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She has practiced exclusively in the area of family law in Ohio and all across Central Illinois. Marie’s exclusive focus on family law has allowed her the opportunity to understand not only the immediate, often complex, legal issues that her clients face, but also how those issues will intersect with their financial and personal futures.  She is a certified mediator and Guardian ad Litem.

Marie is an experienced litigator, a skilled negotiator, and is dedicated to resolving her client’s issues with compassion, sensitivity, and tenacity.  She understands that the outcomes reached on behalf of her clients extend far beyond the courtroom.

Marie practices in Champaign, Vermilion, Ford, Douglas, DeWitt, Piatt, and McLean Counties.

Paralegal

Rochelle “Roey” King has been Marie’s legal assistant since 2018 and has recently completed and received her paralegal certification from the University of Illinois-Springfield.  Roey has a passion for her role in Casteel Law in supporting and assisting Marie and doing her part with working with the clients and their interests.
